Hey Everyone,

Been in talks with people at Greencoat Place and IofC UK about fundraising, paricularly to send young people to Caux this year, and I’ve been looking at organising a Caberet or a Conert in Greencoat sometime in May. The idea is to have about 8 diferent acts which hopefuly offer a good variety, and offer a really good evenings entertainment with food and drink, etc.  With any luck we should raise a fair bit of money if we pack the place.

If anyone is interested in getting involved, I am looking for acts, or any help in any way would be much appreciated!

Many thanks

Owen

I’m willing to participate in the Cabaret (depending on the date) with a clown number if I can get the travel expenses and lodging.
Maybe it won’t be a good deal if there are those expenses, but I always travel Ryanair and it’s very cheap.

Thanks Augusto! I’ll definalty out you down as a consideration, and see if we can get expenses together, that would be fantastic.

Sounds a great idea, I imagine it will have to be quite soon if it’s to raise funds for Caux.I don’t know if Nicolette could help, she may not have seen this post yet.I would love to offer a couple of songs but do not know a Pianist who can play Jazz.
Do you know anyone?
Anyway, good idea.

the date we’re looking at if it will happen is probbably going to be sometime in the week beginning the 8th June. Probably the thursday.

As long as I can get enough acts together for it, it should go ahead, my worry at the moment is that find enough acts is proving a little on the tricky side, and I am getting incredibly busy now with gigs and other work.

I don’t think we should give up on it, its a good idea. Just needed more organization. If for example, you timed it with the next time Advina are able to come to London then I’m sure they’d help, there are a number of acts linked with RA and IofC who would be of interest to young people.  Maybe 8 acts is a little excessive? 3 or 4 really good acts would be better I think. Anyway how about planning far longer ahead of time, like this winter? half term or winter hols? I think it would be a great way of fund raising and getting young people interested smile
