24/01/2007 Money - Help Needed!
We are all grateful for the generosity and sacrificial giving of so many to make the conference and these projects possible. Here is a breakdown of where the money came from and how it was spent by Renewal Arts internationally in 2005 and 2006.
These figures are indicative in order to give you the broad picture.
Income:
Donations from individuals directly: £5,000
Grants from Kultur fur Livet (Sweden) and Initiatives of Change (UK) and other organisations: £28,000
Fund raising events: £500
Total income: £33,500
Expenditure:
Basic running of the Network (publicity and printing, administration, travel, advice from a professional fundraiser, and Co-ordinator fees: £13,000
Funds for RA projects such as the Open House in London but mainly the 2006 Caux Forum: £21,000
Total expenditure: £34,000
In the coming year Renewal Arts needs a budget of £37,000. This is to maintain and develop the Network by enhancing the website, financing the Coordinator and sponsoring some events. Specific projects, such as the Caux Forum will budget and fund-raise individually. We will approach the grant making bodies which have supported RA in the past and also new ones including the commercial sector.
Most of all RA really needs the financial support of individuals who believe in it - so please join the number of generous people who already support RA. We also need people to help with fundraising, if you are interested let us know. If you want to make a one-off donation or regular contribution please do so via the website or contact the RA Office.
